Taggpic

Taggpic is an automated photo geolocating and tagging system. The system is able to take an input photo and determine its location, orientation, and subject matter without any additional data. The company was headed by Noah Snavely at Cornell University.

Taggpic was acquired by Google in 2014.

I was brought on in the fall of 2012 and stayed on the project until the the spring. During my time on the project, I developed the client-facing API. The system was built in Flask and using REST. I also developed the systems for secure registration of API keys, and user statistics tracking and logging of API usage.
