The Book of Endless History

The Book of Endless History was an AI experiment running from 2019-2020: an infinite, fantastical Wikipedia generated in the style of Borges and Calvino. In the system, the AI had full control over where to place links, and what was generated on each page.

This was particularly interesting, as the system would generate not just the content of the wikipedia, but also the structure of it.

A paper I wrote on the generative techniques was published in the International Conference on Interactive Digital Storytelling, and I presented on it at ICIDS 2020 in Salt Lake City.
